Navigation
All disciplines demand skills in day and night navigation with the help of compass, maps and road book. The maps will be in scales 1:100.000, 1:50.000 and 1:10.000. The navigation will be critical, with parts of difficult orienteering.
Trekking/Orienteering
The trekking and orienteering will be held along trails and out in the wild. In highlands and the lowlands, a perfect mix in the wilderness.
Mountaineering
The teams will also do some very spectacular mountain traverses with great sceneries on the boarder of Sweden/Norway, and give the teams the feeling of standing on the top of the world.
Mountainbike
The biking will take part in great surroundings on roads and singeltracks. Some of the biking will also be quite technical and one tough long road section.
Surfski kayaking
The paddling is a nice river paddling with short rapid sections. The teams will paddle in fast surf-skis/ multisport kayaks. No darkzone, it´s midnight sun!
Canoeing
A stunning and tough section in narrow rivers and lakes. You will paddle the fast Acron canoes with single blade paddles.
Coasteering
The most dramatic section in the history of Explore Sweden, so untamed, so rough, so beautiful.
The teams will have boards or inflatable’s on this section. If you thought the "Island traversing" at Explore Sweden 2008 was the best section ever, this one will blow your mind.
Rope works
Breathtaking ropeworks with jumar ascending, repelling and rope traverses, with the highest safety and professional staff.
Note: This year no inlines. |
